Colorado Favorites

Sam and I took a nice summer vacation in and near Arvada, Colorado to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and my birthday! We stayed with his adorably sweet grandparents. We also went to his  grandfather's cabin in the mountains for a few days. The cabin was about 2 and a half hours away from Arvada. The elevation was high, but we managed! There is so much to do in this area, I can't wait to come back and visit!

 Here are a few of my favorite pictures from this trip...


Favorite getaway: Grandpa Lew's Cabin!



Favorite vacation game: Mexican Train


Favorite first experience: Shooting a 22 rifle gun (Grandpa Lews's Gun).

It took me a while to hit the can. I thought I was never going to,
 but to my surprise I was able to hit the target over and over.






Favorite observation: Grandpa and Sam looking outside the cabin deck each day.

Favorite helper: Sam always assisting Grandpa with projects.

The hardest part of the trip: Saying Goodbye to grandma and grandpa! :(

    Looks like you and my boys had the same favorite activity! Glad you guys made the trip - I know it's a wonderful vacation and very meaningful to Grandpa and Grandma!

      Yes we did. Your boys are so adorable! All your kids are! Grandma and Grandpa had a good time with you guys, too! Our trip was very similar to yours, except we got to see the elephant exhibit at the Denver zoo. Gramps said it wasn't there when you visited. I hope we can visit you and your family soon, maybe in the fall. :)
